Thornton Art Direction is a creative studio founded by Emily Thornton in 2008.
Specialised in art direction and commercial films, Emily works with a client focused approach developing unique visual communication for a wide range of clients. She works across disciplines, and more often than not with a network of creatives to give her clients a tailor made solution.
As a passionate art director Emily holds concept development high, always combining curiosity with strategy and beautiful aesthetics.
Background.
Emily is based in Lund, Sweden. Born in 1981, from a Swedish and British background, Emily Thornton moved from the Swedish countryside to Paris in 2001, where she graduated from ESAG Penninghen (École Supérieure d’Art Graphic) with a master’s degree in art direction in 2008. Since, Emily has lived and worked as an artist and art director mainly in Sweden.
